Mission Statement - Our gardens at RMS foster a principled, caring, and cohesive culture that values the sustainability of our natural environment and its relationship with the school and community. Our goal is to establish a living laboratory for the development of our individual sense of self, our relationship with nature, our community and our world. As we evolve and grow into internationally minded agents of change, we take ownership and become aware of the transformative process of our natural and urban environments.
The village aquaponics farm will serve as a living laboratory for RMS and as outreach center for the San Diego community. RMS will demonstrate how, through eco-friendly low input methods, the RMS community can address sustainable food production, home conservation, reduced global footprint, healthy food for students, and opportunities for participating in the emerging green, local economy.
